About Neu’s :: Our Story
When Roman Neu, a man with a vision, made the transition from builder to supplier in 1945, he could not have foreseen the changes that would take place in the industry of power tools, fastening, and cutting equipment or his important contribution to it. He would be astounded!
Starting with a lumberyard and supplies in 1945 called Neu’s Supply Line, the vision Roman gave and the foundation he laid paved the way for future business success when passed on to his family at his death in 1959. The hardware store was then 7,000 square feet and managed by his son Robert. Growth was steady through the next few years and in 1973, Roman’s son Harvey joined the management team bringing with him a progressive style of management.
To assure the future direction of the hardware division, in 1993 we branched off from Neu’s Supply Line (lumber division) to become Neu’s Building Center, Inc. The developing management team was continually embracing the latest in this markets technology with the customers needs paramount. Neu’s blueprint for leadership in our market was being authenticated with expansion of the new coupled with the strength of the past.
Growth up to the year 2000 necessitated at least three major expansions and renovations in order to keep the growth and innovation in the tool and hardware business on track to become a leader in the industry. The focus is on serving the contractors, industrial, as well as continuing to provide the hardware store needs of all. The year 2001 saw the long anticipated expansion to a 41,000 square foot retail store with a bright and innovative interior to show our promise of a continuing bright and productive future.
In 2004, Neu’s expanded once again, to add on a Hardware Gallery show room featuring over 150 manufacturers on display. Committed to quality service with knowledgeable sales staff to assist with your selections.
In 2005, Neu’s expanded their outdoor power equipment selection to include quality manufacturers such as, Honda, Hustler, Stihl, and More.
Today, Neu’s Building Center is recognized by manufacturers both nationally and internationally as an integral part of their distribution chain linking the manufacturer with the skilled consumer.

If that’s not technical enough: neu |nī | originally from the German word Neu |noi| meaning New. Either | Ni | or | Noi | are common, but we are ‘neu’tral and we promise to not get ‘neu’rotic about it.

A: Yes. Neu’s has an Factory Authorized Service Center providing parts and service for the products we sell.
Q: Do you stock/sell items other than what is shown on the tool walls?
A: Yes, we stock much more than what is shown. And yes, we can get pretty much anything the manufacturers make that we deal with.
